Cutting Edge Instruments

Genomics WA’s laboratories are equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation and DNA sequencers, which are located in the Perkins building and The Kids Research Institute on the QEII campus.

Our Sequel II sequencer brought long read sequencing capability to WA for the first time.

We use and maintain the latest NGS equipment, including:

• Illumina NovaSeq X and MiSeq i100 Plus
• PacBio Vega long-read sequencer
• Oxford Nanopore ElysION long-read library prep and sequencer
